Character Power Rankings

The overall score combines gear, raids, achievements, PvP, and activity. Raid rankings compare verified log scores only. WCL median percentiles by boss are used, and uncleared bosses are included in the denominator. The highest score among raids with activity confirmed in the last 56 days is reflected after tier depreciation. A 99 in the previous tier for Retail, Classic, and Classic Fresh is equivalent to a 70 in the latest tier.

Blizzard profiles are queried up to a maximum of 5,000 times per hour. Character rankings are compiled by querying WCL for only the top 1,000 max-level characters by average item level. WCL default specialization/role, difficulty, and partition statistics are used for samples with raid reports confirmed within the last 56 days. Score statistics themselves are not recalculated solely based on 56 days of combat. The 99th percentile is approximately the top 1%, and DPS/HPS figures of different roles are not directly compared.

Guild member character scores are reflected only when eligible characters are present in the character aggregation above, and the WCL scores of remaining guild members are set to 0. Guilds reflect recent raid clear progress, the confirmed top 10 player scores (insufficient samples are adjusted to 0), confirmed active members, and achievements. Fewer than 10 members is a provisional evaluation. Ties share ranks, and previous rank comparisons from weeks with changed formulas are omitted.

This snapshot contains data aggregated using the previous formula. New criteria will be applied after re-aggregation is complete.
